The following figures are for the period starting with the initiation of the project in 1990 until 2005:

In the case of secondary media such as microfiche or microfilm, only the physical units have been counted; the number of works included in the secondary media would otherwise be many factors larger.

The number of units acquired is dependent on existing holdings and the antiquarian and auction markets. On average, only about 25-30% of the titles available can be considered for acquisition; two thirds to three quarters of the available titles are already held by the participating libraries.
